To all our valued Clients and Friends:

We want to take a minute and thank you for your business. You are the reason we create what we create - and love doing it!

During these concerning times, we are making adjustments to projects as we continue to follow local, state and national officials suggestions and requirements in performing business. Whenever possible, we will be conducting meetings online instead of in person. We also recommend that you observe this social distancing practice as well. Many of you have invested in resources created by Be More Colorful that can help you to accomplish this.

We will be highlighting specific examples in the coming weeks, but in the meantime we wanted each of our clients to be aware of two important considerations:

1) "Tour Guide" Service Being Implemented - Give live guided virtual tours of your spaces.
We will be rolling out a "tour guide" feature for all Be More Colorful clients. This feature allows you to provide guided tours of your locations directing people through your tours with real-time video, audio, and text chat capabilities. This feature will be enabled free of charge for all hosted tours through April 30, 2020 and may be extended depending on progression of the pandemic. We will be creating training documentation and providing individualized training sessions for all BMC clients interested in utilizing this service. Contact us if you want more information about this capability.

2) Use of Shared Equipment - If you must continue to use VR headsets (or other shared devices), please disinfect them after every use. Avoiding shared use of equipment is ideal, but not always practical. When possible, encourage viewers to utilize their own devices (headsets, mobile phones, tablets, and computers) by viewing your content via the web. 360° videos can be loaded on YouTube or Vimeo and your virtual tour content is accessible on any device by default. We can assist you with any questions you have on cross-device accessibility.

If you opt to use a virtual reality headset or any other shared device (such as a computer, tablet, or phone) for viewing content, we recommend the following:
  • Be sure frequently touched surfaces get cleaned and disinfected regularly. Cleaning and disinfecting between every user is ideal. Consult your owners manual for instructions and allowable disinfecting procedures. Note that lenses and screens may be sensitive to astringent disinfectants.
  • Request viewers to wash their hands both before and after using your device.
  • You may want to consider removing any porous/foam attachments as they can be difficult to frequently clean, or replace them with a VR face cover that is easier to clean.
  • Consider purchasing disposable face masks to keep viewer's faces from coming in direct contact with your VR headset.
  • Read this article put out by Forbes on practical hygiene advice for your VR gear.
  • Adhere to any new guidelines or recommendations from the CDC regarding environmental cleaning for commonly used surfaces.

Please feel free to reach out directly with any questions or concerns. We are here to be your strategic partner and want to ensure you are able to leverage your virtual tour content to minimize disruptions stemming from reduced opportunities for on-site visits with your audiences.

Keeping you and your customers healthy and well against COVID-19 is our top priority.

We will continue to update you as we continue to monitor city, state and federal requirements and suggestions.

Colorfully Yours,
Matt
